Business Studies Teacher in Bedlington

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Teacher of Business Studies to join one of our successful partner secondary schools in the Bedlington area. The post will begin in September 2023 run for at least the rest of this academic year initially.

The Ofsted rated 'Good', located in Bedlington, offers a motivated and caring environment with high standards of achievement and excellent examination results.

About the role:

  • Full-time Business Studies Teacher
  • 11-16 secondary school located in Bedlington 
  • Post starting September 2023
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS
  • Teaching a full timetable consisting of Key Stage 3 and 4 Business Studies

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a UK recognised QTS (or equivalent)
  • Have successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice)
  • Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning within the subject
  • Understand the importance of high expectations and equality of access for all students
  • Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4 level for Business Studies, and of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students' work
  • Be able to work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff
  • Have a good level of ICT skills, ideally including innovative use of interactive white boards
  • Be able to create a motivating and safe learning environment for all students and raise their aspirations through a range of strategies
  • Be able to communicate positively, both written and verbally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
