Key Responsibilities
• Deliver Business and Economics lessons to KS4 and KS5 students
• Teach to examination standard (GCSE and A Level) using current specifications
• Design engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons that stretch all learners
• Use data to monitor progress and implement timely interventions
• Prepare students for public examinations and future academic or vocational pathways
• Contribute to department planning, schemes of work, and curriculum development
• Promote enterprise and financial awareness through co-curricular activities
• Participate in parents’ evenings, whole school CPD, and performance management cycles
• Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and commitment to high expectations

Ideal Candidate Profile
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent overseas qualification)
• A relevant degree in Business, Economics or a closely related subject
• Experience teaching Business and/or Economics at KS4 and KS5
• Understanding of current educational policy and curriculum requirements
• Ability to differentiate effectively and use assessment to drive learning
• Strong classroom presence with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for subject and commitment to student achievement
• Willingness to take part in school enrichment, enterprise events, and career fairs
• A reflective practitioner open to feedback and continual improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
