BSL Teaching Assistant in Greenford

Job description

Do you have British Sign Language Level 1 or Level 2?

Are you interested in working in a hearing impaired unit?

Unit based in Greenford.

The Role:

  • Working 1:1 with a deaf child, creating an engaging learning environment
  • Working with the pupil within the unit and also the mainstream classroom
  • Liaising with the teacher and head of department
  • Providing a weekly progress report

Your primary focus will be developing a child's language and vocabulary. You will also choose books to read with the pupil, making reading fun. And begin to develop the pupils writing skills, for example through drawing and writing.

  • Located in Greenford
  • Hours: 8:30 to 3:30
  • Pay: £9.50 an hour
  • Temporary contract (6months) to permanent contract
