Job Title: Biology Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Timperley

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time (1 year maternity)

Salary: £162 - £251 Per day

Job Duties:

As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging biology lessons to students. This includes preparing lesson materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. You will create a supportive learning environment and encourage student participation in classroom activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Biology or a related field
  • Experience teaching biology at the secondary school level

Education:

A degree in Biology or a related field is required. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is also necessary.

Experience:

Prior experience teaching biology at the secondary school level is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the biology curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

This is a temporary position with full-time hours. The role involves working in a secondary school setting in Timperley, Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will follow the school's academic calendar and be expected to participate in school events and meetings as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
