Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Biology Teacher to join the science department of one of our client schools in Stockport. This position will be full-time, starting in September at the start of the academic year.

For this position it is essential that you are a fully qualified teacher, whether you already have experience or if you are newly qualified. You also must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and provide at least two employment-based references. You must be aware of safeguarding procedures.

The salary for this position is in line with the teacher pay scale, varying from £30000 and £46525 dependent on experience and qualifications.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Planning and delivery of lessons in line with the curriculum, including scientific experiments to further develop the understanding of the pupils.
  • Monitoring the progression of pupils, being able to give feedback to the pupils, other members of the department and the parents.
  • Being able to control the behaviour of pupils to create a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Marking any homework or assignments in a timely manner giving appropriate feedback.
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are being followed correctly.

This school is located in Stockport, it is easy to commute to from the surrounding areas of Wythenshawe, Marple, and Poynton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
