Biology Teacher

Location: Lytham St Annes (FY8)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Pay: Competitive rates dependent on experience

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Lytham St Annes (FY8) on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inspiring Biology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Science Department and school community.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Biology or a relevant Science subject.
  • Experience teaching Biology at secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • A genuine passion for science education and student achievement.
