Behavioural Teaching Assistant needed in LS8

Teaching Personnel are working with a large primary school based in Leeds LS8.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who has been Team Teach trained, or is willing to undergo training. This is to ensure the support of teaching within the school, which will increase staff confidence by responding to challenging behaviour in a positive way.

The position will be focused in West Yorkshire - Leeds - LS8 with pupils who require positive behaviour support. You will need to act as a role model and mentor to children who are finding the school environment a challenge.

We are looking for someone who can support the classroom teachers with individual and/ or groups of learners. This person should have a good understanding of child development.
You will:

• have good literacy and numeracy skills
• be highly motivated, have strong teamwork skills and a 'can do' approach to your work
• be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• have previous experience in a school setting - useful but not essential
