We are currently recruiting for experienced teaching assistants to work in a SEN school based in the Dawlish and Torbay. These roles but can quickly lead to long term positions filling up your academic year if required by the school.
With a range of disabilities within the schools such as Autism, Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, you will be required to have a flexible approach and have the ability to work with all ages from 3-19 years old. You may be required to work either one to one with pupils or to support the class as a whole.
Requirements:
Teaching Assistant qualification or a minimum of 3 months similar experience. (Desired, but not essential)
Current DBS or on the update service OR be willing to apply for one.
Expectations:
Passionate about working with children.
Helpful, positive, calm and caring.
Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Be committed and dedicated to working on supply.
Adapt teaching methods and work to suit different age groups and abilities.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, motivated, positive, professional, able to use their own initiative and able to think quickly in challenging situations.
