Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Dagenham

A behaviour special school located in Dagenham are looking for experienced behaviour teaching assistants to work in a KS4 secondary class supporting pupils with complex challenging behavioural needs; this will be for an immediate start with the prospects for professional development! Previous experience working in a behaviour provision or alternative provision having worked previously with behavioural needs is essential in securing the role as you will need to have a good understanding of how to support young people who are of a challenging nature.

For the successful candidate:

  • There is the potential to secure a permanent contract
  • Access to schools CPD training delivered by head teacher such as Team Teach and Safeguarding
  • A competitive daily rate

They are looking for at least 2 of the following qualities:

  • Previous experience working in a behaviour school , pupil referral unit or alternative provision with experience of supporting young people with behavioural needs
  • Able to support with secondary pupils who have emotional , behavioural challenges
  • Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker experienced supporting hard to reach young people who are disengaged from their education
  • Support workers from mental health facilities or high risk secure units working with emotional or mental health needs
  • Sports coaches looking to transfer skills in supporting vulnerable young pupils' education
  • Confident , engaging , positive personality

Working hours:

  • 8.15am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday - During school term time only
