Behaviour Support Worker
South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work as part of our client schools Pastoral team from September 2019.

  • September 2019 start date
  • £1200 - £1300 per month
  • Managing behaviour and implementing behaviour interventions across years 7-11
  • Introduction to a vibrant secondary school in Wythenshawe, South Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to join our client school in September 2019.The successful Behaviour Support Worker will work under the guidance of the SENCO, Teaching staff and Senior staff to implement agreed interventions and programmes of work for disengaged students with a particular focus on students with social, emotional or mental health issues. (SEMH)

The successful candidate will work with students to improve punctuality, levels of attendance and to ease the return to school following the 6 week summer break. They will deal with disruptive students in class and out of class to create a calm, working atmosphere and will aim to avoid disturbance and confrontation whilst applying the whole school expectations assertively and fairly.

We are looking for an individual who has experience working with secondary aged students particularly those who display challenging behaviour. We would also consider applications from candidates who have relevant experience - Youth Work, Sports Coaching etc.

Our client school is located in the Wythenshawe area of South Manchester and is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the school is easily accessible by the M60 ring road or the M56 motorway.
