Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Pupil Referral Unit in the Wakefield area that boasts two sites: primary and secondary. They currently require Behaviour Support Assistants in both sites for full time and ongoing roles that could potentially turn into permanent positions depending on the success of the candidate.
The schools cater to students that have been excluded from mainstream education, either on a temporary or permanent basis, and focuses on offering education and inclusion support to these students. They are often disengaged, have Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and display challenging behaviours. The Team Teach qualification is desirable but not essential but you must have experience in education, SEN or behaviour to apply.
Our client is an 'Outstanding' rated school by Ofsted that is committed to empowering and changing the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children. The school believes that everybody deserves a second chance and is looking for a candidate with the same Ethos. The role is full time and long term with a potential to lead to permanent work.
This role would particularly suit:
- Teaching Assistants looking for a new challenge
- People with experience working with challenging children
- People who are wanting to gain more experience in teaching/mental health
The benefits of working with Teaching Personnel are:
- Flexibility - we work around you!
- Great rates of pay
- Professional training
- The support of a dedicated consultant
- Potentially permanent work at an Outstanding school
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
