Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist school in Middlesbrough who are seeking a behaviour support assistant on a full time basis, to commence in the new academic year.
The role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The main element of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of staff to manage and track pupil's behaviour and learning. You will be supporting students who display social, emotional and mental health difficulties who may display behaviour such as social anxiety and ADHD.
The successful candidate will be confident working with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour. The school are searching for someone with a military/policing or sporting background who can use this discipline to guide the students. This background will assist the successful candidate in managing challenging behaviour. You will highly benefit from being Team Teach qualified, this is training that Teaching Personnel can offer.
Teaching Personnel can offer behaviour support assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day, for the right candidate longer term rates can be negotiated on your behalf. This role will commence in September on a full time basis through school hours.
