1:1 Behaviour Support

  • Do you like getting to know children who struggle with their behaviour in school?
  • Do you have great behaviour management strategies and techniques?

I am looking for a behaviour support assistant who can work 1:1 with children who are at risk of being excluded from school due to their behaviour. Your support will be designed to avoid permanent exclusions happening for these children, and facilitate successful re-integration back into to their mainstream classrooms.

  • This is an outreach role – you will travel between a small number of schools located in the Kingston and/or Richmond boroughs, supporting different children who need your support on a weekly rota basis
  • The service prefer if you can work full time (8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only), however they will also consider 4 full days per week or 3 full days per week instead

There is a whole team of professionals supporting these children and you will become an important part of a much larger whole initiative. Everyone works together for the benefit of the children, and their social and emotional development is the highest priority. You will be given pre-planned packages of learning to support their academic development, so you do not need to plan or prepare.

  • GBP75/day starting pay rate, rising to a maximum of GBP95/day – on top of this we also pay the employer half of your National Insurance contribution as well as a pension contribution

The service that you will be working for will provide you with a work phone, to keep in regular communication with the other staff and the head of the service.

Although you will begin this role as a temporary agency worker, you can apply for a permanent role with the service later on in the year, if you enjoy the job.

Please contact Louise by applying and sending your most up to date CV if you are interested in the role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
