Job description

 Behaviour Mentor – 1:1

Do you have a caring/nurturing personality and a real desire to support young people with SEN? Could you support young people who display challenging behaviour? Could you have an immediate, positive effect on a student who is having difficulty engaging in education?

If so, please see details of an exciting Behaviour Mentor role at one of our key residential SEN schools in Haywards Heath.

• Residential School seeking Behaviour Support Mentors.

• Required to start after Christmas – January 2021.

Behaviour Mentors employed at our client school will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with identified students who may otherwise struggle to engage within a classroom environment.

You will play a vital role within the school to ensure that lessons operate smoothly, and students are able to complete all of the work set by the teacher. You will be supporting students who display challenging behaviours, encouraging positive classroom behaviours and guaranteeing that these identified students are causing minimal disruption to the learning of their peers.

Our client school is in Haywards Heath. The school currently has around 60 pupils on roll and was graded ‘Good’ in their most recent Ofsted report. You must own a Car to travel to the School.
