Are you passionate about supporting children’s emotional and behavioural development? Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a primary school in Sunderland, providing targeted interventions and movement breaks to help pupils regulate their emotions and understand their triggers.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support pupils with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Assist pupils across the school when they require regulation or movement breaks to refocus and engage in learning.
• Plan and deliver movement-based activities that help children develop self-awareness and emotional resilience.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil development.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children in a school or support setting.
• A passion for supporting pupils with additional emotional and behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide engaging and structured movement activities.
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
