Our client is a large, modern secondary school situated on the Rochdale/North Manchester border. In the schools most recent Ofsted inspection in 2018, they were judged to be Good across all areas with a view towards moving to Outstanding. Ofsted commented on the strong climate for learning amongst students, along with the excellent culture amongst staff where they feel valued in their work and strive to achieve the best outcomes for students.
This position as a behaviour support assistant will entail providing 1-to-1 support for students identified to have challenging behaviour and in need of a mentor to reduce the number of disruptions and ensure learning is a constant throughout the school day. You will also work in the schools exclusion room, supporting students who have been temporarily taken out of lessons, ensuring they are continuing their learning. You will work along side the behaviour team and pastoral care faculty in ensuring the needs of the students are met.
Due to the nature of the work, anyone with previous experience working as a behaviour support assistant will be well suited for this position, along with anyone with previous experience in youth work or from a similar background working with disadvantaged and disengaged students.
If you would like to be taken in to consideration for this position, you will need to send an updated CV in response to this advert, which can be done via the link below.
