 Behaviour Support Assistant – Alternative Provision

Oldham – OL1

Full-Time Role – Immediate Start

A specialist alternative provision in Oldham is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work full time supporting pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance.

The setting works with students who may have struggled in mainstream education and aims to provide a supportive environment where pupils can rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting pupils within lessons to remain focused and engaged
• Implementing behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Providing 1:1 mentoring and emotional support
• Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
• Encouraging positive relationships and attendance

Ideal candidates may have backgrounds in

• Youth work
• Sports coaching
• Behaviour mentoring
• Care or support work
• SEMH school settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
