We are working with a welcoming and well-resourced SEMH secondary school in Oldham that is looking to appoint a dedicated Inclusion Support Assistant to join their supportive team.

The Role

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Help students regulate emotions, develop coping strategies and engage in learning
• Support positive behaviour using clear boundaries, consistency and encouragement
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider inclusion team
• Build strong, trusting relationships to help students feel safe, understood and motivated

Who We’re Looking For

Experience in a school is beneficial but not essential. We welcome candidates with transferable experience, including:

• Youth work or mentoring
• Care, support work or residential settings
• Sports coaching or outdoor education
• Mental health support roles
• Working with vulnerable young people or challenging behaviour

You will be:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
