Behaviour Support Assistant

As a Behavior Support Assistant, you will be an essential part of a dynamic team committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve:

• Implementing behavior support plans and strategies developed by the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals
• Providing one-on-one support to students, offering guidance, encouragement, and modeling appropriate behavior
• Assisting in the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution techniques
• Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support and effective communication
• Collecting data and monitoring progress to evaluate the impact of interventions and adapt strategies according

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:

• Empathy and patience, allowing you to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students who face behavioral challenges
• Resilience and a positive mindset, as you will be working with students who may display challenging behaviors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• A proactive and solution-focused approach, actively seeking strategies and interventions to support positive behavior
