Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Behavior Support Assistant to make a real difference in the lives of students at one of our partner schools.
As a Behavior Support Assistant, you will be an essential part of a dynamic team committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve:
- Implementing behavior support plans and strategies developed by the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals
- Providing one-on-one support to students, offering guidance, encouragement, and modeling appropriate behavior
- Assisting in the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution techniques
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure consistent support and effective communication
- Collecting data and monitoring progress to evaluate the impact of interventions and adapt strategies according
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
- Empathy and patience, allowing you to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students who face behavioral challenges
- Resilience and a positive mindset, as you will be working with students who may display challenging behaviors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, actively seeking strategies and interventions to support positive behavior

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
