Behaviour Support Assistant

Are you passionate about helping children and young people overcome behavioural, emotional and social challenges?

We are currently looking for dedicated and resilient Behaviour Intervention Workers / Behaviour Support Assistants to work within a specialist educational setting in Billinge, Wigan.

The role:

• Supporting pupils who present with challenging or complex behaviours

• Delivering positive and consistent behaviour interventions

• Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop coping strategies

• Building strong, trusting relationships with young people

• Supporting pupils to engage positively with learning

• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams

• Helping create a calm, safe and structured environment

✅ We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people

• Has experience in behaviour support, SEMH, SEN, youth work, care or similar

• Is calm, patient and resilient

• Can set clear boundaries while building positive relationships

• Understands the importance of consistency and positive reinforcement

• Is passionate about helping young people make positive changes

Pay: Competitive daily rate depending on experience
Location: Billinge, Wigan
Hours: Full-time, term-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
