Have you got experience or interest working with young people?
I am working with a Secondary School in Hammersmith and Fulham who are looking to appoint Behaviour Mentors and TAs for the September term. They look for confident teaching assistants to work in their school with students who can find learning a challenge. The role involves supporting learning both within the classroom and throughout the school day.
This is a great opportunity for behaviour support TAs and Classroom Assistants looking for development focused and long term/permanent roles.
What do the school look for?
- Degree qualification is ideal but not essential
- Experience and proven interest working with young people with challenging behaviour
- Confidence supporting secondary pupils with lessons
- Professional conduct (punctuality, positive interactions etc.)
- Resilient and driven personality
What does the school offer?
- Modern facilities and high-quality teaching
- Regular training for staff
- Small, calm, nurturing environment
- Long term to permanent positions
- Collaborative Programmes with schools and organisations throughout Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham
What do others think of the school?
"The school manages that crucial mix of high expectations and consistent support, that good parents know helps to nurture children as confident learners. The students, in turn, are a credit to those who have given them a second chance to show what they can do." - Visiting Professor, Oxford University Department of Education
To apply for this behaviour mentor TA job in Hammersmith send you CV and a brief cover letter to Rachel. The CV and cover letter will be sent over to the school's Headteacher.
