Behaviour Mentor || Maidstone, Kent
Teaching Personnel are currently working with secondary schools in the Maidstone area of Kent who are looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors to support students transitioning back into mainstream schools, as well as supporting within the SEN units within the school.
The role offers a varied and ever changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with emotional, social and mental health difficulties. The role can be full-time or part-time with the potential of offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.
Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:
- Youth work
- Support work & residential care
- Learning mentor in secondary environment
- Prison officers/ tutors
- Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, Sociology)
The primary function of this post is to work collaboratively with the team supporting students in developing students confidence, self-esteem, increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in the their lives as a whole.
