Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Support Assistant (Full-Time) - Launceston

Position Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor Support Assistant, you will be a crucial support figure within the Launceston school community, working closely with educators to enhance the behavioural well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted one-on-one and group support to students facing behavioural challenges.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement behaviour intervention strategies aligned with the school's behaviour management plan.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists to develop and implement personalized behaviour support plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to support strategies for both academic and behavioural success.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of social-emotional learning programs.
- Actively participate in team meetings, providing valuable insights and collaborating with teaching professionals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school setting, providing support for students with behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a teaching team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' well-being.
- Relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field is desirable.
- Up to date DBS certificate on the update service (or be willing to complete a new one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
