Behaviour Mentor

Teaching Personnel provide staffing for a number of Schools across the Lancashire area, one of which, in the Darwen, East Lancashire area, is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to specifically work with challenging pupils. 

The School is smaller than average and caters for pupils who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as those who have Autism, ADHD, ODD and challenging behaviours. The School provides support and education for those who can no longer remain in mainstream education and, they are Ofsted judged 'Good'. 

The School is on the outskirts of Darwen, East Lancashire and ideally, the candidate will hold a driving licence and have acess to a car as the school is not very accessible via public transport. 

The role will be to support those pupils who display the most difficult behaviours on a 1:1 or small group basis and, candidates must be resilient, empathetic, compassionate and confident in their approach to dealing with such behaviours. 

The role is to start in September 2020 and candidates applying for this role should have, or be willing to undertake, their Team Teach qualification. 

The pay for this role will be negotiable between GBP11 - 13 per hour dependent on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
