A Northumberland SEMH Provision are searching for a Behaviour Mentor to join their team in the new academic year. This role is to commence ASAP until at least the Christmas break.
The school is an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision and supports pupils with extremely challenging behaviour and complex needs. The position will involve working primarily one to one with Secondary aged pupils however you will be expected to assist in the classroom where necessary throughout the school day. The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students and helping them to engage with their work! You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.
Ideally for this role, you will have experience with challenging behaviour and will be confident managing this. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including social and youth work. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced special needs teachers as well as specialist teaching assistants. You will also benefit from Teaching Personnel’s exceptional and unique CPD opportunities including regular Team Teach courses and competitive daily pay rates of up to GBP70 per day. You will be available for interview in a video format.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
