Behaviour Mentor

Location: Carmarthen

Hours: 8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking a strong minded and resilient individual to work in one of our provisions in the Carmarthen area. You will be supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviours, social/emotional needs and potential barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support for pupils who may display challenging behaviour
  • Working alongside teaching staff to encourage positive behaviour and learner engagement
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a focused learning environment
  • Create and safe and nurturing environment
  • Help students progress, grow their confidence and gain essential life skills for after education
  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring

Requirements

  • Previous experience with challenging behaviour
  • Confidence and resilience in challenging situations
  • A passion for supporting and working with young people
  • A compassionate and easily approachable individual who’s able to build relationships and trust.
  • Hold a full UK Driving license
  • Have an enhanced DBS child only (or able to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
