Behaviour Mentor – Bolton

  • Are you experienced supporting young people with challenging behaviour?
  • Are you able to put effective strategies in place in order to avoid confrontational and disruptive behaviour?

If so, a primary school located in the Little Lever, Bolton (BL3) area is currently looking to employ a behaviour intervention specialist in Key Stage 2 to work with small groups of pupils on a 1:1 basis developing positive behaviour strategies and carrying out a nurturing role within school.

In order to be successful you will need to:

  • Have a strong background dealing with pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Possibly come from a military or police background
  • Preferably team teach trained, however not essential
  • Be a good communicator and be able to work as part of a team
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and procedures
  • Be outgoing and have a strong classroom presence
  • Be experienced working with pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis
  • Have school based experience and be able to implement a range of behaviour interventions.

This is a warm and inclusive Bolton primary school, located in the heart of the local community. The school is larger than average and has recently been graded as Good by Ofsted. The school prides itself on how it aims to support both staff and pupils, in order to create an inclusive environment where everyone is able to succeed in what they do.

This role will be starting on the 4th November 2019 and will carry on until the end of the academic year.
