Role: Behaviour Buddy
Age: KS2
Location: Bedminster
Salary: GBP57-65 per day
A fantastic school in Bedminster is seeking a Behaviour Buddy to work 1:1 with a KS2 child. This child has been excluded from his last school and now with the right support is hoping to thrive in a new setting. This is a vulnerable child with severe social and emotional issues and as a result is quite challenging although the main issue is the disengagement from education. The school has organised a tutor for the child as well as behaviour support officer that the right person will be working alongside. The ideal candidate can show initiative and is adaptable as the day is due to regular changes. This school requires support immediately so the sooner you would be available the better.
This school is located in an easily accessible area for public transport although it is in area of permit parking so driving is not ideal. Any working with young people with social, emotional issues or challenging behaviour is desired however, the right person without experience will also be considered.
This role is available on a part-time or long-term basis.
The ideal candidate:
- Sensitive to the needs of children
- Basic knowledge of the school curriculum
- Be able to communicate effectively
- Experience working with SEN and challenging children is desired, however not essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
