An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time position working in a specialist Resource Base in Bath dedicated to providing children with Autism a unique and tailored Education.

The Resource Base has four classes dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of 4-11. This includes using Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Attention Autism, Makaton and TACPAC regularly to support children's progress.

All children are supported at the developmental level that is appropriate for them. Learning is differentiated to always meet their individual needs.

They are looking for an individual with a passion for education and experience (personal or work based) with Autism to join their team of 15 to work alongside the students both inside and outside of the classroom.

The role is full-time during term-time with the potential for continuation in the new academic year and a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have experience/passion supporting Autism (this can be either professional or personal)

• Be friendly and approachable

• Be available full-time during term times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
