A 'Good' Primary School based in the London Borough of Kingston Upon Thames are looking to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant to support children in the school. The school are unsure on the year group yet but it will be most likely working with children in Early Years or KS1. The school are an oversubscribed 2 form entry school that are seen as one of the flagship schools within the borough.

The Primary School have a creative and warm ethos throughout the whole school, with all staff members working together to support every individual child effectively. For this role you'll be working as a general TA and also supporting children with SEN.

The Head Teacher has recently offered two previous Primary Teaching Assistants the opportunity to enrol onto their very own 'Schools Direct Scheme'. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring Teachers looking for a on the job way to achieve their QTS. This is the perfect way to begin your journey to become a teacher, having a years experience as a TA will give you an idea of year groups and areas you would like to work in.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Primary Teaching Assistant.
  • Working within KS1 or KS2 - (5-11-year olds).
  • Group work and 1-2-1 support.
  • Schools Direct opportunity on offer.
  • September 2019 start.
  • Kingston Upon Thames.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Degree educated.
  • Must be an aspiring Primary Teacher looking to enrol onto a PGCE or Schools Direct.
  • Must be passionate about supporting children of different ages and ability.
  • Must be an outgoing and creative individual.
  • Understanding of the Primary curriculum.
