ASC Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an ASC Teaching Assistant for a school in Bradford. This school prides itself on creating a caring and safe environment for pupils who have a wide range of Special Educational Needs. This can be a challenging but rewarding role, so the ideal candidate will be nurturing and resilient with a passion for helping those with SEND.

This role may also offer further CPD training and experience, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your skills alongside truly making a difference for children in education.

As an ASC Teaching Assistant, you must:

-          Have experience working with children and young people with SEN

-          Be resilient when providing support in challenging environments

-          Confidently work alongside staff and SENCO to understand the needs of pupils

-          Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning

-          Possess a calming and friendly manor to build relationships with pupils and staff

-          Work pro-actively to respond to pupils needs

-          Be able to embody the ethos of the school and work to their high standards

-          Be proactive in offering support and practical help

Experience in supporting individuals with autism, including school/care based or a personal connection are encouraged to apply.
