If you are a conscientious, empathetic and experienced TA / HLTA / Learning mentor / Care worker who enjoys working with young people on the Autistic spectrum, there are opportunities to work within alternative provisions and special schools across Northamptonshire.
You would be working on a flexible basis with a variety of age groups and abilities of pupils as the centres we work with cater for pupils from KS1 to KS5. The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable who has experience working with children and young people on the Autistic spectrum.
The role requires experience of working within Alternative Provisions with a particular focus on Special Schools and pupils working on a Sensory curriculum. Therefore we are also looking for people who can build excellent relationships with children and young people who need consistent one to one care, who can use a variety of methods to communicate with young people and promote autonomy and independence.
We can offer staff the opportunity to gain a further understanding of working in the SEN sector as we provide regular courses that prepare you for working with a variety of additional needs that will be certified upon completion. These include; Autism Awareness, Team Teach and Moving and Handling.
