ASC Teaching Assistant Manchester

  • Attractive daily pay for support staff
  • Full time ASC teaching assistant post for full academic year
  • Short drive from M60 motorway via Junction 19

Do you have previous experience supporting complex ASC in either a school or care setting?

Our client school has an urgent need for an ASC teaching assistant with the knowledge and experience to support complex ASC in their specialist resource from September onwards. This post will be covering a maternity leave from mid-September and will last for the full academic year.

* Supporting complex ASC in secondary setting with pupils aged 11-16

* Daily rate variable dependant on experience (£50 - £75)

* Comprehensive support department with expertise supporting complex ASC in education

Our client school is a large multicultural secondary school with newly built primary phase in north Manchester with a number of specialist resources to support students with a range of SEND. The school serves a diverse catchment area with a number of students on roll from minority ethnic backgrounds who speak English as an Additional Language. The school have a very harmonious and inclusive education policy in which all students are given the support and skills to succeed in education and beyond.

“We are looking to secure an ASC teaching assistant from September, to join us a handover phase prior to the maternity cover so we can fully support a transition to working with ourselves. We do need applicants to have previously supported complex ASC in either education or a care setting, but psychology graduates with knowledge of autism and autism theories may also be considered” – Head of ASC resource
