A high performing school in Haringey are looking for Autism specialists interested in working in the education sector. The school is located less than a ten minute walk from Seven Sisters underground station and is accessible by over ground, bus and car.
The school itself is an advocate of intensive CPD and internal training courses to enable the successful applicant excellent qualifications and training for the role.
There are currently three SEN positions available at this school.
The positions’ responsibilities involve:
-Role: Special Needs Assistant.
Responsibilities:
Working on a 1:1 basis with an autistic boy in year 2
Creating different visual resources to support pupil
5 minutes box and reading with pupils to help improve their reading and comprehension skills
Working on a 1:1 basis with a severely autistic girl in year 1
Speech and language experience desirable
Literacy and numeracy support
Working on a 1:1 basis with an autistic boy in year 6
Supporting his academic and social development
As these positions needs an autism specialist, the school are able to pay very high pay rates for this role!
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
-1-1 Autism experience (minimum 1 year experience compulsory)
-Experience in SEN schools (desirable but not essential)
-DBS on the update service (desirable but not essential)
-A graduate (desirable but not essential)
