Art Teacher

Do you have a genuine passion for teaching Art?

Have you got experience teaching Art to secondary school students?

Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity this September?

If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you. An Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary school is looking to appoint an experienced Art Teacher, to start teaching in September. The Art Teacher role will involve teaching Art to a range of students in Key stage 3&4, with different artistic abilities. From top to bottom set, teaching students the basics of Art to supporting GCSE students with their course work and final major piece. As well as teaching Art, you will be required to teach photography to KS4 students.

With a newly refurbished Art department, with new equipment and a state of the art photography room, it is a great environment for students to express their artistic abilities and for teachers to teach in.

  • Experienced Art Teacher, teaching secondary school students
  • Located in the South of Manchester, in Stockport
  • Teaching Art and photography
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406) with weekly pay

With the new academic year approaching the head of the Art is looking to fill an open vacancy, within the Art department. Due to a former member of staff retiring, there is an open position that needs to be filed for September. The ideal Art Teacher that the head of the department is looking for will;

  • Have experience teaching Art and Photography to secondary school students
  • Be able to commit to a full time position, putting the extra hours in supporting students after school hours
  • Have a passion for teaching Art, wanting to inspire young students
  • Is able to support the end of year student exhibitions, show casing there work
  • Be able to produce fun and creative lesson plans engaging all the students

The Outstanding secondary school looking to appoint an Art Teacher is located in Stockport in the Ashton-under-Lyne area. Close to a train station, with other public transport links close by, makes the secondary school easy to access.
