The Principal at a secondary school in Manchester is seeking a full time Art and Design Teacher from April.

Due to a restructure within the department there is now an exceptional opportunity to join a highly resourced faculty amongst a welcoming staff team. -          Full time Art and Design Teacher required from April

-          Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school.

-          Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Art and Design.

-          Applications are urged from experienced and newly qualified teachers as relevant support will be provid4ed for the successful post-holder.

Art and Design is an extremely very popular subject area for pupils across KS3/KS4 and there is an increased demand for the subject particularly at GCSE. As the incoming Art and Design Teacher, you will be required to deliver inventive, pupils centred lessons which promote passion for teaching and learning.  As the successful Art and Design Teacher your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to;

  • Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
  • Experience working with the Art curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial. 
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
  • Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
