Job Advert – Art Teacher (Secondary School)

Position: Art Teacher
Location: Lancaster
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: 4 days per week, Fixed-term until February Half Term 2026

We are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our secondary school team from October until February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage pupils through high-quality teaching and a passion for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the school curriculum.
  • Foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills in pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities within the Arts.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be a recognised ECT.
  • Have experience teaching Art at secondary level.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Art education.
  • Be able to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
