Art Teacher 
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-Time, 1-Year Fixed Term
Salary: Dependent on Skills and Experience
Location: Burnley

We are seeking a committed and creative Art Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Burnley from September. This is a full-time role on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons to students aged 11–16

  • Adapt teaching to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and leadership to create a safe and encouraging learning environment

  • Inspire students to express themselves and achieve personal and academic growth through art

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or substantial relevant teaching experience

  • Experience in an Alternative Provision or similar setting is highly desirable

  • Strong behaviour management skills are essential

  • A patient, flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
