Job description

Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: B31, Birmingham
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Pay: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school located in the B31 area of Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position suitable for a skilled and motivated teacher ready to inspire and challenge students through high-quality art education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons to students at KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum expectations

  • Foster creativity, expression, and technical skills in a supportive classroom environment

  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and well-managed classroom and art studio space

  • Contribute to departmental planning, displays, exhibitions, and whole-school arts initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Art at secondary school level in the UK

  • Strong subject knowledge across a variety of art forms and media

  • A commitment to planning, marking, and contributing to the wider school community

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
