Art and Design Teacher – SEMH Provision (Blackburn)
Location: Blackburn
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Long-term
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher to join our dedicated team in a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision based in Blackburn. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an inspiring teacher who can engage and motivate young people with additional social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons that inspire creativity and self-expression

Adapt learning to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH needs

Create a positive, nurturing and structured classroom environment

Support students to build confidence and develop both artistic and personal skills

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience working with students with SEMH needs (desirable but not essential)

Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
-
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
-
A genuine passion for Art and Design education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
