Art & Design Specialist Cover Supervisor – Flexible & Full-Time Opportunities
Location: Secondary Schools Across Liverpool
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Salary: £95 - £110 Per Day (based on experience and length of contract)
Are you a creative individual with a passion for Art & Design and a desire to inspire young minds? Teaching Personnel is currently seeking engaging, confident, and artistic individuals to work as Art & Design Specialist Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Liverpool. We are offering both flexible day-to-day cover roles and full-time subject-specific placements.
The Role
As an Art & Design Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the continuity of creative learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You'll be delivering pre-set lessons in Art, Design, and related practical subjects, helping students stay engaged and expressive in a structured classroom environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising Art & Design lessons using provided materials and plans
- Supporting students in expressing ideas through different artistic media
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, focused environment
- Feeding back to teaching staff on student engagement and lesson outcomes
This role is ideal for creative professionals, aspiring art teachers, or anyone with a strong interest in the arts and a desire to support young learners.
Ideal Candidate
We welcome candidates who:
- Have a background in Art & Design (degree, A-levels, or industry experience preferred)
- Are confident in leading a classroom and maintaining engagement
- Are creative, adaptable, and passionate about visual arts
- Have experience working with young people (in education, coaching, mentoring, or youth work)

Requirements
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Art (or equivalent); A-level or degree in Art & Design highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and classroom presence
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
