Start Date: ASAP (Flexible Start Dates)
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary
Working Hours: 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day (based on experience)

About the School
Teaching Personnel’s partner secondary school in Bude offers a specialist Area Resource Base (ARB) for students with complex and multiple learning needs, including Autism, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties. The ARB provides a structured and supportive environment where students follow a tailored curriculum that blends academic learning with life skills, social development, and sensory activities. Students may work toward Entry Level qualifications and, where appropriate, GCSEs in mainstream classes. The ARB features specialist facilities such as a sensory room and accessible outdoor space. Admissions are managed by Cornwall Council’s SEND team and require an EHCP.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

  • Passion for supporting young people with SEND
  • Previous experience in education or care (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
