Are you keen to start a career in Education and Art? Teaching Personnel support schools with staffing gaps on a short term, long term and permanent basis. Our SEN department works with schools that cater for children for special educational needs such as autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social, emotional and mental health disorder.
We are looking for art teaching assistants to work with these pupils that have specific learning difficulties. The main work is in a setting of no more then around 8 pupils to a class, with a teacher, and a possibility of another teaching assistant.
The ideal persons must have a background in art such as crafts, art and design, art therapy and general art and at least an understanding of special educational needs (no relevant experience is required), personable in their approach, calm and happy to work with children that have challenging behaviour.
