School Administrator
Location: Bournemouth
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm (some weekday finish times may vary)
We are looking for a dedicated School Administrator to join a warm, well-organised educational setting known for its positive culture and strong commitment to supporting young people. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering the chance to play a vital role in the smooth running of a busy secondary-age provision.
This role requires excellent communication, organisation and IT skills, as you will liaise daily with staff, learners, families and external professionals. You will also provide support to senior staff and step in for the Admin Manager when needed, ensuring continuity and high standards across all administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and prepare annual review meetings and three-monthly reviews for new learners

Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation

Distribute key information to staff, parents, carers, local authorities and partner agencies

Work closely with teaching staff, families and external professionals to gather relevant information

Undertake general administrative tasks, including reception cover and phone handling

Support the Senior Leadership Team and SENCO with administrative requirements

Oversee data entry onto internal systems

Assist with fleet management and student bursary administration
Requirements
-
Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting learners with SEN
-
Strong understanding of SEN processes and annual reviews

Administration qualification and Level 2 Maths & English

Confident user of Microsoft Office

Experience in an education environment (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
