ADHD Support Teaching Assistant – Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire
Daily Rate: £89–£95 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Are you looking for an ADHD Teaching Assistant job in Poulton-le-Fylde?
A welcoming and inclusive school in Lancashire is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils with ADHD and other neurodiverse needs. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in special educational needs (SEN), education, care, or youth work settings.
Key Duties:
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ADHD
- Implement strategies to support attention, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCO to adapt learning activities
- Build positive relationships to encourage pupil engagement
- Monitor progress and contribute to support plans
Essential Criteria:
- Experience supporting children with ADHD or SEND (formal or informal)
- Calm, consistent, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for inclusive education
- DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Psychology degree, Team Teach)
- Understanding of ADHD strategies and behaviour support techniques
