Supply Teaching Assistant – Additional Learning Needs School
Location: Neath Port Talbot, Wales
Start Date: September 2025

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to work at ALN school, a well-respected special school in Neath Port Talbot.
About The School
The largest special school in Neath Port Talbot, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of additional learning needs (ALN), including:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)

Role Overview

Supporting the learning and development of pupils with diverse and complex needs.

Assisting teachers with classroom activities and tailored interventions.

Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence.

Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide consistent, pupil-centred support.

Helping to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.

️ Desired Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in education, care, youth work, or SEN settings is highly desirable.

Training in Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton is an advantage (but not essential).

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
