Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to work at ALN school, a well-respected special school in Neath Port Talbot.

About The School

The largest special school in Neath Port Talbot, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of additional learning needs (ALN), including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

• Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

• Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)

Role Overview

• Supporting the learning and development of pupils with diverse and complex needs.

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and tailored interventions.

• Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence.

• Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide consistent, pupil-centred support.

• Helping to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.

️ Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in education, care, youth work, or SEN settings is highly desirable.

• Training in Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton is an advantage (but not essential).

• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
