SEN Tutors Needed – Support Learners Across Weymouth
TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Tutors to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to children and young people throughout Weymouth and surrounding areas.
Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Weymouth and nearby areas
Hours: Flexible full-time and part-time roles available
Delivery: Face-to-face tuition
The Opportunity
This rewarding role involves supporting learners who benefit from specialist educational input outside of traditional classroom environments. Students may experience Autism, ADHD, SEMH challenges, anxiety, or disrupted education.
You will plan and deliver personalised sessions that help learners re-engage with education, improve confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.
Main Duties
- Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition sessions in person
- Modify teaching methods to meet individual learner needs
- Build trusting relationships that encourage learner engagement
- Promote emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress
- Monitor development and adapt sessions accordingly
- Liaise professionally with families and external professionals
- Ensure sessions are safe, positive, and well-structured
- Travel locally to provide tuition across Weymouth and nearby areas
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children or young people is beneficial
- Applicants with experience in education, SEN support, mentoring, or care are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Organised and dependable
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
- Ability to travel for face-to-face tuition delivery

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
