Are you a teacher looking for a new way to make a difference? Many teachers step away from the classroom but still want to shape children’s education in a meaningful way. If you’re passionate about helping young people thrive, 1:1 tuition could be the perfect next step.

We are seeing increased demand for Maths and English tutors in the Dorset area. Most of our pupils are currently out of school and often have diverse SEN/SEMH needs. Why become a 1:1 tutor?

  • Work flexibly — choose when and how much you want to work

  • Focus on teaching, not paperwork

  • Make a real impact on pupils who need you most

  • Enjoy competitive pay: £25–£30 per hour

  • Benefit from ongoing support, training, and CPD through Teaching Personnel

The role:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 support in Maths, English, or Primary subjects

  • Plan and deliver engaging programmes of learning

  • Tutor in the home environment

  • Support pupils of varying ages and abilities, including those with SEN and SEMH needs

  • Full-time and part-time hours available

  • Ongoing, stable workload

What you’ll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged children

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and supportive approach

With the support of a dedicated consultant and access to our online training academy, you’ll be well equipped to make the transition into 1:1 tuition smoothly.

Take control of your career, inspire young learners, and enjoy the flexibility you deserve.
