SEN Tutors Required – Make a Difference in Basingstoke

Do you enjoy supporting young people with additional learning needs? TP Tutors is looking for SEN Tutors in and around Basingstoke to provide personalised educational support that helps students build confidence, re-engage with learning, and succeed at their own pace.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Basingstoke and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time roles available

The Role

TP Tutors is recruiting caring and motivated individuals to deliver one-to-one tuition for children and young people who require alternative support outside traditional classroom environment.

You will help learners develop both academically and personally by creating tailored sessions suited to their individual learning styles and goals.

Key Duties

  • Plan and deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support different learning needs
  • Promote emotional wellbeing and learner confidence
  • Encourage positive engagement and independent learning
  • Liaise with families and professionals where appropriate

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Suitable backgrounds include education, mentoring, care, youth support, or tutoring
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, patient, and flexible approach
  • Organised and dependable
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Ability to travel across Basingstoke and surrounding areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
