A primary school in Hertfordshire have an exciting opportunity for a behaviour support teaching assistant to join their team on an on going basis from now till the end of the academic year. For the right teaching assistant there is also the opportunity for a permanent contract.

This is a full time role to provide 1:1 support for a year 3 pupil who has challenging behaviour and has suffered a lot of trauma.

You will need to provide nurture and encouragement to the pupil to increase confidence and raise attainment. With your 1:1 support you will help reduce levels of unauthorised absence and create a happy and supportive working environment.

You will be partly working within the classroom as well as with the pupil on an individual basis.

The successful applicant will be confident in managing challenging behaviour, be fully up to date on the UK primary curriculum and be a role model to the child.

You will be fully supported by the school's senior leadership team as well as by the class teacher and colleagues.
